ALBERT CURTIS FOX

BLOOMFIELD. ALBERT CURTIS FOX, age 87 of Las Vegas, Nevada and former Bloomfield resident died June 15, 2005 at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1917 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Albert and Ina Sampson Fox. He married Neva J. Martin, she preceded him in death April 20, 1974. He married Ardis I. Lister Allen July 21, 1979 in Bloomfield, Iowa. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, living most of his life in Bloomfield until moving to Las Vegas in 2003. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield and was a past commander.

He is survived by his wife Ardis Fox of Las Vegas, Nevada; 2 sons Stanleigh G. Fox and wife Dee Lalagos of Wheaton, Illinois and Steve C. Fox of Madison, Virginia; 3 stepsons Richard L. Allen and wife Julie of Manhattan, Kansas and Steve K. Allen and wife Cindy and Larry M. Allen and wife Kim both of Las Vegas, Nevada; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Helen Pottorff and a brother James Fox.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday June 28, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield, will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. The family will be at the Wagler Funeral Home Monday June 27, 2005 from 5:00-6:00 PM to greet friends. A memorial in lieu of flowers has been established.
