STEVEN E. HARWARD

FLORIS. STEVEN E. HARWARD, age 53 of Floris, Iowa died September 6, 2005 at his home. He was born June 30, 1952 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Charles and Maxine Gilland Harward. He married Dawn R. Christy May 27, 1972 in Floris, Iowa. He was a lifetime resident of Floris and was a 1970 graduate of Davis County Community High School. He worked at John Deere in Ottumwa for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He was a former member of the Floris Christian Church and attended the Floris Baptist Church. He was a former mayor of Floris and was presently serving on the City Council.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons Michael Harward and Christopher Harward both of Floris; 5 grandchildren Gary, Kaitlyn, McKenna, Jordan and Bailey and his parents Charles and Maxine Harward of Floris.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday September 9, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Gordon Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Floris Cemetery in Floris, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the City of Floris.
