FLORENCE IRENE JOHNSON

BLOOMFIELD. FLORENCE IRENE JOHNSON, age 88 of Bloomfield died June 7, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. She was born January 1, 1917 in Licking County, Ohio to Elza and Lulu Brown Hite. She married Eugene W. Johnson April 7, 1938 in Alexandria, Ohio, he preceded her in death in February 1987. She was a homemaker and had lived in Bloomfield since 1990. She was a member of the Des Moines River Primitive Baptist Church near Eldon, Iowa, Bayview Reading Club in Eldon, Iowa and volunteered at the Davis County Hospital, Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Unit, Bloomfield Care Center and GED classes.

She is survived by 2 daughters Winifred Farmer (Clyde) of Bloomfield, Iowa and Rachel Hanna (Larry) of Floris, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, a son Ray and a sister May Funk.

The family will be at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa for visitation from
6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2005. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday June 13, 2005 at the Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home in Johnstown, Ohio with Elder Jack Allen and Clyde Farmer officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria, Ohio. Memorials have been established to the Des Moines River Primitive Baptist Church and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Garden Fund.
