WINIFRED “WINNIE” LORTON

MILTON. WINIFRED “WINNIE” LORTON, age 90 of Keosauqua and former Milton resident died November 25, 2005 at the Good Samartian Center in Keosauqua, Iowa. She was born December 15, 1914 in Scotland County, Missouri to Roy and Lenora Toops Teter. She married Jacob William Lorton July 13, 1933 in Memphis, Missouri. She was a homemaker and had been a clerk at Younkers and Ben Franklin. She was a member of the Milton Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband; a son Gary (Kay) Lorton of Bloomfield, Iowa; a daughter Shirley (Charlie) Gandy of Altoona, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday November 28, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Joanne Schlegel officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Sunday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers to the Van Buren County Good Samartian Center.
