GEORGE D. POST

FLORIS. GEORGE D. POST, JR., age 67 of Floris, Iowa died August 9, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born July 30, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa to George D. and Marjorie May Snelling Post, Sr. He married Pauline Rhoades August 5, 1967 in Floris, Iowa. He was a lifetime resident of Davis County and had worked for the City of Bloomfield for several years.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons George Post III and John Post both of Bloomfield; 3 duaghters Lora Diedrick of Bloomfield and Sharon and Karen Post both of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; a brother Benjamine Post of Ottumwa and 2 sisters Donna Willier of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Cheryl Hegge of Mora, Minnesota.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Kimberly Post and a brother Robert Post.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday August 13, 2005 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Bill Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Floris Cemetery in Floris, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM.
