JEAN K. STOCKHAM

BLOOMFIELD. JEAN K. STOCKHAM, age 78 of Bloomfield died October 17, 2005 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born June 6, 1927 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Jesse E. and Mabel L. Hicks Shelton. She married B.L. “Billie” Stockham August 26, 1951 in Ottumwa, Iowa, he preceded her in death February 13, 1987. She was a 1944 graduate of Ottumwa High School. A resident of Davis County most of her life, she worked at the Gilfillan Clinic for 27 years as a receptionist. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, CWF, Chapter B P.E.O., Chautauqua Club, So and Sew Club, Davis County Fine Arts and the Red Hat Ladies.

She is survived by a son Bill (Sylvia) Stockham of Green Valley, Illinois; 3 daughters Pam (Gary) Hoebeke of Biloxi, Mississippi, Cindy (Kermit Wood) Vinzant of Bloomfield, Iowa and Sherry (Larry) Hopkins of Troy, Iowa; 5 grandsons Bryan and Jeff Behrens, Wesley and Adam Stockham and Gale Hopkins; 6 great grandchildren and a sister Jackie Doan of Vista, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Thursday October 20, 2005 at the Bloomfield Christian Church with Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund.
