MILTON. ESCO F. CAMPBELL, SR., age 77 of Milton,
Iowa and former Davis County, Iowa resident died May 9, 2006 at
the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born January 15,
1929 in Appanoose County, Iowa to Benjamin F. and Emma Mae Moore
Campbell. He married Edith M. Lester May 21, 1949 in Bloomfield,
Iowa. She preceded him in death November 15, 2005. He worked for
Morrell & Company in Ottumwa for 30 years and was an auctioneer
and farmer. He had been a resident of Milton since 1973. He was
a member of Mt. Zion Church in Libertyville, Iowa.
He is survived by a daughter Sue (Phil) Downing
of Bloomfield; 4 sons Esco (Velma) Campbell, Jr. of Ottumwa, Jackson
(Bessie) Campbell of Winchester, Kansas, Dave (Dorothy) Campbell
of Bloomfield and Tom (Becky) Campbell of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren;
3 great grandchildren; a brother Reuben Campbell of Ottumwa and
a sister Leonis Cohagen of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife;
a daughter Judy Campbell; 6 brothers Paul, Pearl, Hubert, William,
Vance and James Campbell and 3 sisters Artie Carpenter, Audry Campbell
and one in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday May
13, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jerry
Caughron and Ken Downing officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF
Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday
with the family present from 7:00-8:30 PM. A memorial has been established
to the Kidney Foundation. |
