PHYLLIS I. CULLINAN

OTTUMWA. PHYLLIS I. CULLINAN, age 82 of Ottumwa and former Davis County resident died April 10, 2006 at Hospice House in Ottumwa. She was born February 22, 1924 in Drakesville, Iowa to Zell and Goldie Lazaler Irelan. She was a 1942 graduate of Bloomfield High School. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life. She taught at Eagle School near Eldon and had worked at the Northwestern Bell Company for several years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ottumwa and the Telephone Pioneers.

She is survived by a daughter Catherine and husband Steven Sexton of Ottumwa; a son Patrick Cullinan of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren Jason and Calan Sexton both of Ottumwa and Mariah (Charlie) Vinyard of Plainfield, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sons Barry Irelan, Jon Barnes and Michael Cullinan; a brother Victor Irelan and 2 sisters Donna Hastings and Eunice Fetters.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial of the cremains will be in the Floris Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Hospice, Inc. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
