DONNA L. DOWELL

OTTUMWA. DONNA L. DOWELL, age 62 of Ottumwa and formerly of Cantril, Iowa died February 1, 2006 at her daughter’s home in Ottumwa. She faithfully fought MS since the age of 21. She was born April 8, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa to Elmer D. and Thelma Cutler Haskell. She married Keith E. Dowell August 13, 1961 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. She was a CNA in Keosauqua. She was a member of the American Legion in Van Buren County and was a member of the Ottumwa Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter Sherry (Richard) Dowell-Babcock of Ottumwa, Iowa; 2 sons John Dowell of Cantril, Iowa and Keith D. (Traci) Dowell of Collegedale, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers Eugene Haskell of Seymour, Iowa, Richard Haskell of Clinton, Iowa and Jackie Haskell of Lawton, Oklahoma and 3 sisters Rose Loose of Blue Grass, Iowa, Shirley Bishop of Columbia, Missouri and Deanna Nicoli of Kingdom City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother David Haskell and an infant sister Mary Lou Haskell.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday February 6, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastors Jeff Dowell and Mike Carner officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday February 6, 2006, in the Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, Iowa. The family will be present for visitation from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the Wagler Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to her family and the Multiple Sclerosis Society and may be mailed to the family at 1009 E. Plum Ottumwa, IA 52501.
