BILLY “BILL” L. FRY

BLOOMFIELD. BILLY “BILL” L. FRY, age 80 of Bloomfield died January 22, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born August 13, 1925 in Davis County, Iowa to Roy and Ida May Fultz Fry. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Darlene Rupe May 24, 1969 in Bloomfield, Iowa. She preceded him in death March 10, 2004. He was a lifetime resident of Davis County. He was a carpenter and worked at Bloomfield Lumber for several years. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and was a member of Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Country Club.

He is survived by 2 sisters Betty Fountain of Bloomfield, Iowa and Judith Thorne of Sante Fe, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers Bob, Gene and Roger Fry and a sister Christine Bain.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday January 24, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will be at the Dunnville Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday with the family present from 6:00-7:30 PM. A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Country Club.
