THOMAS A. SWAIM

UNIONVILLE. THOMAS A. SWAIM, SR., age 61 of Unionville, Iowa died January 22, 2006 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born November 17, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa to W.W. “Butch” and Mary Martha Doughtery Swaim. He was owner of the Vine Street Nugget in Ottumwa and was a social member of the American Legion in Ottumwa.

He is survived by his fiancée Mary Lammert of Unionville, Iowa; 2 sons Thomas Swaim, Jr., of Bloomfield, Iowa and Scott Swaim of Drakesville, Iowa; a daughter Marta Davis of Ottumwa, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a sister Emelie Springer of Ottumwa, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday January 26, 2006 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial has been established to Hospice, Inc.
