DAVID EATON

BLOOMFIELD.  DAVID EATON, age 69 of Bloomfield died February 5, 2007 at his home.  He was born April 22, 1937 in Albia, Iowa to Ted and Olive Swaim Eaton.  He married Gisela Ebeling  August 26, 1958 in Bremthal, Germany.  He graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1955 and served in the United States Army.  He lived most of his life in Davis County and was a farmer and worked for Davis County Road Maintenance.  He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife;  2 sons  Daniel Eaton and Dorvan Eaton both of Bloomfield;  2 daughters  Rebecca Swaim of Bloomfield and Cynthia Klatt of Cedar Falls, Iowa;  6 grandchildren;  a sister  Beverly Janecek of Yutan, Nebraska and 2 brothers  Jerry Eaton of Sierra Vista, Arizona and Steven Eaton of Ottumwa, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday  February 9, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield, will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Memorials have been established to Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion and the American Heart Association.
