IRENE JACKSON

BLOOMFIELD.  IRENE JACKSON, 86 of Bloomfield died September 15, 2007 at the Bloomfield Care Center.  She was born April 20, 1921 in Davis County, Iowa to Elmer and Eula Pearsall Humphrey.  She married Lowell W. Jackson April 8, 1939 in Bloomfield, Iowa.  He preceded her in death February 27, 1998.  A resident of Davis County her lifetime, she was a homemaker and worked at the Davis County Hospital in housekeeping for 20 years.  She was a member of the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, Iowa and was a member of the Mission Circle. 

She is survived by 2 sons  Carl Jackson of Johnston, Iowa and Jerald Jackson of Floris, Iowa;  a daughter  Susan Jackson of Ottumwa, Iowa;  5 grandsons;  14 great grandchildren;  2 great great grandchildren;  a brother  Wayne Humphrey of Milton, Iowa;  3 sisters  Ruth Vandegriff of Fairfield, Iowa,  Doris Walker of Powell Butte, Oregon and Elizabeth Rysdam of Burlington, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by  her parents;  a daughter  Sheril Jean Jackson and
2 brothers  Robert and Dean Humphrey.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday September 18, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastors Jack Jackson and Jesse Hill officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Monday with the family present from 6:00-8:00 pm.  A memorial has been established to the Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa.
