SYLVIA M.C. LAWSON

BLOOMFIELD: SYLVIA M.C. LAWSON age 86, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 24, 2007 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. She was born August 30, 1920 in Davis County, Iowa to Hulbert and Genevieve Pence Lough.  She married Clifford W. Lawson on October 4, 1942 in Lancaster, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on January 22, 1982.  A life long resident of Davis County, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Monterey Christian Church and was president of CWF for several years, a charter member of the Monterey Welcome Neighbors Club; Rebekah Lodge #1 of Bloomfield for over 50 years, Women’s Relief Corps, American Legion Auxiliary and was a 4-H leader for over 20 years.

She is survived by a sister, Betty Williams of Bloomfield, a brother Charles (Donna) Lough of Vinton, Iowa, a sister in law Lorraine Lough of Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, step father, Vessie Bales, husband and two brothers; John and Richard Lough, a sister Lee Etta Kinder and three step sisters; Aurvilla Luko, Cora Mae Spurgeon and Romera Loar and a step brother, Leonard Bales.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Reverend DeWayne Lawson officiating.  Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.  Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rebekah services at 7:00 p.m. with family visitation following.
