BLOOMFIELD: ROBERT T. MASON 85, of Bloomfield, Iowa died December 16, 2007 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield. He was born February 16, 1922 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Charles E. and Loa Joppa Mason. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Marie Hauenstein April 5, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a teacher at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa and was a department head of computer maintenance and electronics. He had been a resident of Bloomfield since 1986. He was affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, a former member of the Ottumwa Amateur Radio Club, and a 50 year member of Council Lodge #644 AF & AM in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters; Sue Anne (Randy) Dailey of Ottumwa and Gayle (Don) Walton of Bloomfield, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grand-children.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday December 19, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Military rites will be performed by Reed Whisler Post # 78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9am Tuesday with the family present from 6:30-8:00pm. Cremation will follow the service with interment at the Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa at a later date. Memorials have been established to the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund.
