DONALD W. MIXER BLOOMFIELD. DONALD W. MIXER, age 82 of Bloomfield died August 26, 2007 at the Bloomfield Care Center. He was born February 7, 1925 in Hannibal, Missouri to Clarence J. and Marie Mason Mixer. He married Helen L. Sparks June 7, 1949 in Quincy, Illinois. He was a foreman for Northeast Power and Electric. He was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and was very active in the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mixer of Memphis, Missouri; a son Dennis Mixer of Clintwood, Virginia and 3 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Terry Mixer and 2 sisters Juanita Rhodes and Alberta Dunn. Graveside services and burial of cremains will be at 10:00 AM Saturday September 1, 2007 at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and may be sent to Wagler Funeral Home 304 W. Jefferson St. Bloomfield, Iowa 52537. |
