DOROTHY M. RASMUSSEN

BLOOMFIELD.  DOROTHY M. RASMUSSEN, 89 of Bloomfield died November 7, 2007 at the Bloomfield Care Center.  She was born April 2, 1918 in Huxley, Iowa to Albert and Marie Schonemann Johnson.  She married Dr.R.E. “Doc” Rasmussen  June 26, 1943 in Huxley, Iowa.  He preceded her in death May 6, 2001.  She taught school in Minnesota and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomfield, was a former member of the Bloomfield Mothers Club and was very active in scouting and 4-H in Davis County.

She is survived by a son  Dr. David (Debbie) Rasmussen of Bloomfield; a daughter  Anita Shockley of Bloomfield;  6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband;  a daughter  Ruth Ann Rasmussen;  a son  John Carl Rasmussen and 2 sisters  Eleanor Tobie and Veola Johnson.
