VELMA L. ROBERTS

BLOOMFIELD.  VELMA L. ROBERTS, age 91 of Bloomfield died January 21, 2007 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield.  She was born October 15, 1915 in Davis County, Iowa to Clay and Mary Gray Martin.  She married Bert C. Roberts  March 14, 1931 in Davis County, Iowa.  He preceded her in death October 28, 2002.

She was a resident of Davis County her lifetime.  She was a homemaker and owned and operated a gas station and grocery store in Stiles, Iowa with her husband.  She was a member of the Barker United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 3 daughters  Nancy Holt of Memphis, Missouri,  Gurada Russell of Bloomfield, Iowa and Judy Stice of Lapine, Alabama;  10 grandchildren;  13 great grandchildren;  a great great granddaughter;  a sister  Ora Myrtle Peterson of Harriman, Tennessee and a brother  Cardon Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daugthter  Clella Mae Roberts;  a sister  Inez Luko and an infant sister.
