PAUL WILLARD STOGDILL

BLOOMFIELD.  PAUL WILLARD STOGDILL, age 92 of Bloomfield died December 31, 2006 at the Bloomfield Care Center.  He was born July 16, 1914 in Drakesville, Iowa to Orda and Sarah Welcher Stogdill.  He married Maye Lillian Armstrong October 25, 1940 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She preceded him in death April 2, 1993.  He was a welder at John Deere for 29 years, retiring in 1976.  He was a member of the Church of the Open Bible in Bloomfield. 

He is survived by 2 sons  Paul Dean and Willard Lee Stogdill both of Brandon, Florida; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandhchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents;  wife;  a brother  Walter Stogdill and 2 sisters  Alice Ritz and Margaret Stogdill.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday January 4, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Charles Courtney officiating.  Burial will be in the Hopkins Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Wednesday with the family present from 7:00-8:00 PM.  A memorial has been established to the Church of the Open Bible in Bloomfield.
