GLENN W. WHIRRETT

PULASKI.  GLENN W. WHIRRETT, age 85 of Pulaski, Iowa died August 31, 2007 at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care in Bloomfield, Iowa.  He was born May 5, 1922 in Davis County, Iowa to Neil J. and Emma M. Schindler Whirrett.  He married Grace Grim  May 17, 1941 in Memphis, Missouri.  He was a lifetime resident of Davis County and was a farmer.  He was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church, Franklin Lodge #14 and Ottumwa Lodge #16 Masonic Lodges for 57 years and was a Past Master he was also a 50 years member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife;  a son  James Whirrett of Pulaski, Iowa;  a daughter  Jane Anne Moore of Keller, Texas;  5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister  Mayna Willier.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday September 5, 2007 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Matheney officiating.  Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Tuesday with Eastern Star services at 5:30 pm and Masonic Services at 6:00 pm followed by family visitation until 8:00 pm.  A memorial has been established to the Pulaski Corn Show.
