GERALD D. YAHNKE OSKALOOSA. GERALD D. YAHNKE, age 61 of Oskaloosa and former Davis County resident died May 20, 2007 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born January 17, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Howard E. and Ollie B. Prevo Yahnke. He served in the United States Army. He worked at Pella Corp in Pella, Iowa. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Methodist Church in Oskaloosa and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #276 in Oskaloosa. He is survived by his mother Ollie Yahnke of Bloomfield; a brother Harold (Linda) Yahnke of Bloomfield; 2 nephews David (Shari) and Alan (Melissa) Yahnke both of Bloomfield; a great nephew; 6 great nieces and a great great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Thurday May 24, 2007 at the Rouch Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa with Pastor Dave Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 7:00-8:30 pm. A memorial has been established to his church. |
