BLOOMFIELD: Irene Camp, 93 of Versailles, Missouri and former Davis County resident died September 30, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri. She was born April 2, 1915 in Van Buren County, Iowa to Daniel Lewis and Emma Whitcanack Hull. She married Irvin Lee Camp January 9, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death February 22, 1978. She was a therapy aide at the Davis County Hospital for several years and had been a resident of Versailles since 1998. She was a member of the Stiles Christian Church, the Milton Christian Church and the Mission Circle Club. She was also a member of the Community Card Club, the Canasta Card Club, the Rebekah Lodge in Troy, Iowa and was a Past Noble Grand.
She is survived by a daughter Collene Engle of Versailles, Missouri; 3 sons Danny Camp of Jefferson City, Missouri, Clint Camp of Laurie, Missouri and Len Camp of Mesa, Arizona; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and 2 sisters Margaret Cassatt and Lola Dittmer both of Davenport, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson Shann Michael Camp; 2 brothers N.C. Hull and Louie Hull; 2 sisters Bernice Garmon and Vada Clark and 2 infant sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday October 4, 2008 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Danny and Len Camp officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 pm Saturday at the Warren-Powers Cemetery near Runnells, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established to the Christian Prison Ministry of Missouri. |
