Cody James Davidson BLOOMFIELD: Cody James Davidson, 19, of rural Bloomfield, Iowa died December 12, 2008 at his home. He was born June 27, 1989 to Rick A. and Lyn S. Bear Davidson. He was a member of the Mark Baptist Church and was a student at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was a former student of Central College in Pella, Iowa, and graduated from Davis County High School in 2007. He had a passion for life that he shared with family, friends and his love of sports. He played football at Central College, was part of the 2008 Ottumwa YMCA flag football championship team and was a football referee. He was especially proud to be a flag football coach for children. He is survived by his parents; a brother, Nick Davidson of Bloomfield, Iowa; grandparents, James and Sharon Davidson of Bloomfield, Ed and Susan Bear of Steamboat Rock, Iowa; a great-grandmother, Evelyn Degen of South Pasadena, Florida; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Funeral services will be at 10am on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Bloomfield Christian Church in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Gary Axtell officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin after 9am on Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 5-8pm at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. |
