Ellen Pearl Goodwin BLOOMFIELD: Ellen Pearl Goodwin, 81, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 31, 2008 at her home. She was born May 20, 1926 in Bloomfield to Frank and Alillian Johnson Walker. She married Vernon Goodwin February 8, 1947 in Bloomfield. A resident of Bloomfield most of her life, she was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Allen (Linda) Goodwin of Ottumwa, Iowa and Larry (Mary) Goodwin of Drakesville, Iowa; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Gilmer (Stony), Guy, and Clyde Walker; and 3 sisters, Eva Harrison, Emma Walker, and Irma Ridenour. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday April 4, 2008 at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9am Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Davis County Historical Society. |
