LOIS GUTHRIE

BLOOMFIELD.  LOIS GUTHRIE, 90 of rural Bloomfield died March 8, 2008 at her home.  She was born October 4, 1917 in Davis County, Iowa to Walter Bernard and Arley Maude Sloan Guthrie.  She was a graduate of Troy High School and Bloomfield Junior College.  She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1940.  She served in the United States Air Force during World War II.  She was a home economics teacher and member of the Rebekah Lodge #1 in Bloomfield.

She is survived by a niece  Barbara Marcey of Troy, Idaho and a great niece Damian M. Carrillo of Spokane, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Louise Audrey Foutz and a brother Donald Guthrie.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am Thursday March 13, 2008 at the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa with military rites by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.  A memorial has been established to Rebekah Lodge #1.  Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
