Marie Lavon Mason

BLOOMFIELD: Marie Lavon Mason, 82, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 3, 2008 at Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. She was born November 20, 1925 in Tracy, Iowa to Virgil and Gladys Furgison Hauenstein. She married Robert Mason April 5, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He preceded her in death December 16, 2007. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Gayle (Don) Walton of Bloomfield, and Sue Anne (Randy) Dailey of Ottumwa, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Verlan Hauenstein of Leighton, Iowa; 3 sisters, Mildred Holdsworth of Newton, Iowa, Doris Stansberry of Knoxville, Iowa and June Van Essen of Tracy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Laverne Hauenstein.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Visitation will begin Monday at 9am until the time of the service. Cremation will follow the service with interment at the Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund.
