Steven L. Miller BLOOMFIELD: Steven L. Miller, 57, of Bloomfield, Iowa died May 20, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born August 6, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Robert Jacob and Eva Brooks Miller. He married Becky Rominger August 22, 1971 in Bloomfield. He owned and operated Steve’s Service Station in Bloomfield for 20 years. He later worked as a gas technician for the City of Bloomfield. He served as secretary and treasurer for the Local 3590 AFSCME Union in Bloomfield. A 1968 graduate of Davis County High School he was active as a Boy Scout Leader. He was a member of the West Grove United Methodist Church and served as the treasurer. He also attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Centerville. He is survived by his wife; a son, Ryan Miller of Bloomfield; a daughter, Jennifer Schumaker of Bloomfield; 4 grand-children; and a sister, Sheryl Miller of Pulaski, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be 1:30pm Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastors Shari Squires and Mark Waits officiating. Burial will be in the West Grove Cemetery in West Grove, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9am on Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm. A memorial has been established to the West Grove United Methodist Church. |
