Owen Moore

PULASKI:  Owen Moore, 73, of Pulsaki, Iowa died October 14, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.  He was born January 17, 1935 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to James Lewis and E. Lorrayne Rowland Moore.  He married Ginger Mustard June 19, 1955 in Bloomfield, Iowa.  He was a farmer and hauled milk.  He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Milton.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Jodie (Steve) Pierce of Douds, Iowa, Lisa (Stuart) Grim of Ames, Iowa; 3 sons, Jon (Tess) Moore of Columbia, Iowa, Brad Moore of Oxford, Wisconsin, H.O. Moore of Bloomfield, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Chuck Moore of Washington, Iowa, Jack Moore of Bloomfield, Iowa, Jim Moore of Fulton, Illinois, Pat Moore of Pulaski, Iowa, Terry Moore of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and a sister, Jane Blakely of Richland, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Rodney Owen Moore.

Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Doran Bollman officiating.  Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will begin after 9am on Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Pulaski Fire Department, Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
