BETTY RUTH SCHMITZ

BLOOMFIELD.  BETTY RUTH SCHMITZ, 83 of Bloomfield and former Ottumwa resident died March 7, 2008 at the Bloomfield Care Center.  She was born February 4, 1925 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Roy and Marian Lester Turpin.  She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School and had been a waitress at the Ottumwa Country Club and in Burlington. 

She is survived by a sister  Maxine Byers of Bettendorf, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers  Richard, Ralph and Robert Turpin.

The body has been cremated, no services are planned.  Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
