Sharon Kay Wheaton

BLOOMFIELD:  Sharon Kay Wheaton, 64, of Bloomfield, Iowa died June 21, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.  She was born September 28, 1943 in Pulaski, Iowa to Floyd and Leola Hendricks Miller.  She married Larry Weller October 17, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa.  He preceded her in death December 2, 1988.  She later married Everett “Buck” Wheaton in May 1993 in Pulaski, Iowa.  She was a cook and an aide at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Dee (Skip) Johnson, Kathi (Craig) Scott, both of Bloomfield, Iowa; a son, Mikel Weller of Bloomfield; a step-daughter, Rose Wheaton of Bloomfield; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and a sister, Pat Hecker of Warrensburg, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 brothers, Bill and Jerry Miller.

A celebration of life will be on Friday, June 27 at 7pm at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Rhonda Eakins officiating.  The family will be at the funeral home from 6pm until the time of the service to greet friends.  A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Main Street Christmas Light Fund.
