Dortha D. White

PULASKI:  Dortha D. White, 84, of Pulaski, Iowa died May 14, 2008 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa.  She was born July 28, 1923 in Davis County, Iowa to Clyde and Mattie Croft Friend.  She married Claude “Boots” White September 11, 1946 in Troy, Kansas.  He preceded her in death January 4, 1999.  She was affiliated with the Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Bloomfield, Iowa.  A resident of Davis County her lifetime, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon (Bill Jr.) Thomas of Bloomfield, Barbara (Jim) Downing of Fairfield, Iowa, Connie (Orville) Fiedler of Eldon, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Thomas of Decorah, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 3 brothers, Leo, Irvin, and Dewey Friend.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30am Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Jim von Feldt officiating.  Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will be from 1pm until 9pm Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established.
