Lena Marie Willier

OTTUMWA: Lena Marie Willier, 85, of Ottumwa, Iowa and former resident of Milton, Iowa died February 7, 2008 at the Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa.  She was born July 23, 1922 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Lewis H. and Carrie M. Houser Channel.  She married Glen Willier September 30, 1938 in Ottumwa.  He precedes her in death February 16, 2004.  She attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and Ottumwa Heights College and was a registered nurse and homemaker.  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Donald (Barbara) Willier of Centre, Alabama; a daughter, Judith (Henry) Suechting of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 2 brothers, Ralph Nedrow of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Jay Fredrickson of Sacramento, California; 1 sister, Mary Cosby of Burlington, Iowa and 1 half-sister, Ruth Ina Ridge of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
