Diana Brown

BLOOMFIELD:  Diana S. Brown, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa and former resident of Davis County, Iowa died unexpectedly of a heart attack on September 1, 2009 at her home.  She was born January 18, 1971 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Larry and Cheryl Bollman.  She married Brian Brown September 24, 1994.  She graduated from Davis County High School in 1989, and later from Indian Hills Community College and Buena Vista with a degree in elementary education.  Diana owned and operated a daycare from her home for the last ten years.  She was loved by all those she cared for during that time.  The last two years she had been employed by Starbucks Coffee.  Diana was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and aunt.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, Hadley and Ainsley.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Brown; 2 daughters, Hadley, who is 9, and Ainsley who is 4; her father, Larry Bollman and step-mother Sharon of Davis County, Iowa; 2 sisters, Lori Utt of Bloomfield, Iowa, Lisa Findley of Houston, Texas; 2 brothers, David Bollman of Minatare, Nebraska, Russell Bollman of Flemington, New Jersey; Mother-and-father-in-law, Lyn and Jim Williams of Ottumwa, Iowa; seven nephews; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Bollman; grandparents, Arlie and Florence Horn and Lloyd and Kay Bollman.

A memorial service will be at 1pm on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the West Des Moines United Methodist Church with Pastor John Augspurger officiating.  Funeral services will be at 2pm on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa.  Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will begin after 9am on Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established to her family.
