Allen Dewes

PULASKI:  Allen R. Dewes, 57, of Pulaski, Iowa and former resident of Windsor Heights, Iowa died August 7, 2009 at his home.  He was born October 27, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to Francis and Marijean Dickson Dewes.  He married Nancy Grim June 3, 1972 in Malcom, Iowa.  He was an agronomist for Heartland Coop for several years.  He was a member of the Dayton United Methodist Church in Dayton, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Chris (Carrie) Dewes of Strongsville, Ohio; Luke Dewes of Ainsworth, Iowa; Josh (Kristi) Dewes of West Des Moines, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Ethan, Aubrie, Abby, Jordan; His parents, Francis and Marijean Dewes of Bloomfield, Iowa; a brother, Gene Dewes of Bloomfield; 3 sisters, Pam Strachan and Vicki Scott both of Bloomfield; and Jana May of Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Funeral services will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Barbara Wells leading the service.  Burial will be in the Round Grove Cemetery south of Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will begin after 9am on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 5-8pm at the funeral home.  Memorials have been established to the Round Grove Cemetery and the Davis County Ambulance Service.
