Marian L. Beggs BLOOMFIELD. Marian L. Beggs, 83 of Bloomfield died December 17, 2009 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born August 28, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa to Harry and Sylvia Skow Wickes. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Open Bible in Bloomfield. She is survived by 5 sons Ben of Jacksonville, Florida, Roy of Ottumwa, Iowa, Doug and Mitch both of Bloomfield, Iowa and Tim of Freeburg, Missouri; 3 daughters Patricia Potts of Santa Fe, Tennessee, Tamson Troyer of Runnells, Iowa and Laura Beggs of Bloomfield, Iowa; 2 step-children Jim Beggs and Janet Porter; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ben Turner and Verlin Beggs; 2 sons Arron and Bruce Turner; 2 sisters Willadean Karr and Norma Fry and a brother Harry Wickes, Jr. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Monday December 21, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Charles Courtney officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of the cremains will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date. Visitation will begin after 9 am Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established to the Church of the Open Bible. |
