Henry Duane “Dobie” Egbert

DRAKESVILLE.  Henry Duane “Dobie” Egbert, 49 of Drakesville died May 2, 2009 at his home.  He was born March 10, 1960 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Henry Clifford and Bernice Blevins Egbert.  He married Charlotte “Quita” Bundy in 1983 in Memphis, Missouri.  He was a 1978 graduate of Davis County High School and was an over the road truck driver.  He was a member of ABATE, District 14. 

He is survived by a son  Bradley Egbert of West Grove, Iowa;  a daughter  Bridget (Mick) Geerdes of Ft. Madison, Iowa;  a granddaughter  Ivy Geerdes;  his mother  Bernice Egbert of West Grove, Iowa;  4 sisters  Karen (Kenny) Bulechek of West Grove, Iowa,  Sharon (Charlie Casey) Lippert of Bloomfield, Iowa, Carolyn Teubel of West Grove, Iowa and Karmen (Paul) Underwood of Kirksville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law Dennis Teubel and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday May 6, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Eric Teubel officiating.  Burial will be in the West Grove Cemetery in West Grove, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 9 am Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 pm.  A memorial in lieu of flowers has been established to his family.
