Sally Ann Foglesong

BLOOMFIELD:  Sally Ann Foglesong, 72, of Bloomfield, Iowa died June 15, 2009 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa.  She was born July 26, 1936 in West Grove, Iowa to Lester W. and Lorene Madrell Sprouse.  She married Bill Foglesong August 22, 1964 in Bloomfield, Iowa.  He preceded her in death October 14, 1998.  She worked at Citizens Mutual Telephone Company in Bloomfield for 34 years as an operator and billing clerk.  She enjoyed playing bingo and helped with the bingo stand at the Davis County Fair.  She enjoyed going to the Burlington Bee’s baseball games and crocheting.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Bill (Liz) Sprouse of Pueblo, Colorado, Dennis (SueEllen) Sprouse of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Jean (LaVerne) Stogdill of Bloomfield, Iowa; 5 nephews; 6 great-nieces-and-nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces-and-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.

Funeral services will be at 1:30pm on Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.  Visitation will begin after 9am on Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family.
