John Gingerich Jr.

BLOOMFIELD:  John Gingerich Jr., 88 of rural Bloomfield, Iowa died March 5, 2009 at his residence.  He was born February 14, 1921 in Wolford, North Dakota to John C. and Leah Wagler Gingerich.  He married Annie Hochstedler October 2, 1947 in Arthur, Illinois.  He was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ivan Gingerich of Kokomo, Indiana; 3 daughters, Irene Gingerich of Bloomfield, Iowa, Ella (Edwin) Yoder of Bloomfield, Iowa, Lena (Jerry) Gingerich of Hunnewell, Missouri; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a brother, Abe Gingerich of Author, Illinois; 2 sisters, Anna Mae Gingerich of Author, Illinois and Fannie Marie Hochstedler of Bloomfield, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 brothers; 4 sisters; and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 9am on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the T. Corner Furniture at 16961 Jade Ave, Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.  Minister in Charge Bishop John Earl Kuhns will officiate.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa.  Friends may call on the family after 9am on Saturday at T. Corner Furniture.
