Jim Morrison

BLOOMFIELD:  Jim W. Morrison, 92, of Bloomfield, Iowa died December 1, 2009 at his home.  He was born December 1, 1917 in Poweshiek County, Iowa to Ruben and Neta Campbell Morrison.  He married Mary Sutton September 21, 1940 in Lancaster, Missouri.  He was a truck driver for Morrison Trucking and was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Norma (Rod) Pickens of Bloomfield, Iowa, Janet (Tom) Adamson of Derby, Kansas, Donna Meredith of Bloomfield; 2 sons, Bryan Morrison of Lafayette, Indiana, David Morrison of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ray Vaughn Morrison; 4 sisters, Mildred Johnston, Chleo Christian, Esther Howard, Mary Greer; 2 brothers, Charles “Bud” Morrison, Billy Dale Morrison; and 3 great-grandchildren;

Memorial services will be at 11am on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Burial of the cremains will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa.  Visitation will be from 9am until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established to the Davis County Dollars For Scholars.
