Betty J. Redmon

BLOOMFIELD.  Betty J. Redmon, 82 of Bloomfield died May 16, 2009 at her home.  She was born March 25, 1927 in Appanoose County, Iowa to Oliver and Nellie Downing Brooke.  She married William E. Redmon November 27, 1945 in Iowa City, Iowa.  She was a resident of Davis County most of her life and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ottumwa, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters  Carol Herbert and Cathy Redmon both of Bloomfield; 2 granddaughters  Crystal Herbert and Lacey Mayer; a brother Don Brooke of Muscatine, Iowa and a sister Bonnie Wheaton of Monett, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

Memorial services will be at 7:30 pm Monday, May 18, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 624 W. Rochester St.  Ottumwa, Iowa with Kenneth Tipton officiating.  A visitation with the family present to greet friends will be Monday from 6:30 pm until the time of the service, at Kingdom Hall.  Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is assisting the family.
