Carl Walker BLOOMFIELD. Carl Walker, 81 of Bloomfield died November 2, 2009 at Hospice House in Ottumwa. He was born October 29, 1928 in Davis County, Iowa to A.J. and Katherine Dommer Walker. He married Mary Weilbrenner in 1955 in Gresham, Oregon. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanic for Norris Construction and was a member of the Agency United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife; stepson Rod Pickens of Bloomfield, Iowa; step daughter Norma Johnson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 3 grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; a great great granddaughter and a sister Helen Young of Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers Richard, Wilson “Woody” and Donald Walker and 2 sisters Marie Tubaugh and Pauline Wittmeyer. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Barker Cemetery in Scotland County, Missouri with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Open visitation will be from 11 am to 9 pm Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A memorial in lieu of flowers has been established to Hospice of Davis and Wapello Counties. |
