PULASKI. Rose Marie Hecker, 87 of Winfield, Iowa and former Pulaski, Iowa resident died April 18, 2010 at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield, Iowa. She was born December 12, 1922 in Lucerne, Missouri to Robert Harley and Jessie Christine Kinkade Scott. She married Max Edward Hecker May 16, 1941 in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death October 8, 2004. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Pulaski United Methodist Church. Rose was a member of the Waneta Neighborly Neighbors Club and was a 4-H leader for 8 years. She had been a resident of Winfield since 2005.
She is survived by 3 sons James (Debbra) Hecker of Port Byron, Illinois, Robert (Shirley) Hecker of Winfield, Iowa and Roger (Mary Beth) Hecker of Ft. Lawn, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; a brother Thomas Scott of Moline, Illinois and 2 sisters Bonnie Burress of Floris, Iowa and Phyllis Gill of Davenport, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son Ronald Hecker; a sister Imogene Levis; a brother Harry Scott and 3 granddaughters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Jim Matheney officiating. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9 am Wednesday with the family present from noon until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the Sunrise Terrace Care Center – Eden Fund.
