Mildred Boyle

BLOOMFIELD:  Mildred P. Boyle, 93, of Bloomfield, Iowa died January 26, 2010 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield, Iowa.  She was born June 27, 1916 in Stockport, Iowa to Ross and Zella Fickel Archibald.  She married Richard G. Boyle January 15, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa.  He preceded her in death January 11, 1986.  Mildred worked at the Iowa State Bank in Morning Sun, Iowa for 22 years, retiring in 1982.  She was a member of the Bloomfield and Morning Sun United Methodist Churches.  She was also active with several card clubs.  She had been living in Bloomfield since 2006.

She is survived by a daughter, Chris Keegan of Bloomfield, Iowa; 3 grandchildren, Matt (Tara) Gordon of Bloomfield, Iowa, Molly Gordon of West Liberty, Iowa, Danielle Gordon of Gadsden, Alabama; 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler Gordon of Gadsden, Alabama, Ireland Gordon of Bloomfield, Iowa, Alexander and Brayton of Bloomfield, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Jack Van Ausdall of Salem, Illinois; brother-and-sister-in-law Joseph and Margaret Boyle of Keokuk, Iowa; sister-in-law June Boyle of Portland, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Betty Van Ausdall.

Graveside services will be at 1pm on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa with Rev. Randy Van Ausdall officiating.  A prayer service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Iowa with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Visitation will begin after 9am on Sunday with the family present from 2-4pm at the funeral home.  Memorials have been established to the Morning Sun and Bloomfield United Methodist Churches and to the family.
