Evalyn Carroll
BLOOMFIELD: Evalyn Laverne Cain Carroll, 93, of Bloomfield, Iowa left her earthly life and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 28, 2010. Evalyn was born April 28, 1917 in Dupree, South Dakota to Sidney Louis and Eva Gertrude Stuteville Cain. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and tending to her flowers. She devoted her life to her faith, husband Lowell, children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Evalyn and Lowell were wed on December 26, 1935. He preceded her in death May 3, 2010.
Evalyn is survived by two sons, Kenneth Gene (Marge) Carroll of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Randy (Linda) Carroll of Granger, Iowa; two daughters, Sharon (Bill) Hardy of Drakesville, Iowa, Linda (Harold) Yahnke of Bloomfield, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Mike, Darrell, Lisa, Cindy, Mark, Morgan, Erin, David, Alan, Kenny, Debbie; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Deloris Perkins of Ottumwa, Iowa.
Evalyn was greeted in heaven by her parents; husband; five brothers, Art, John, Louis, Garland, and Willard Cain; three sisters, Velma Simmons, Sidone Fligg, Virginia Cain; and a grandson, Timothy Carroll.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Donna Olinger officiating. Burial will be in the Iowaville Cemetery near Eldon, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 9:00 am on Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Iowaville Cemetery.
