David Dye
BLOOMFIELD: David Vincent Dye, 74, of Bloomfield, Iowa died October 24, 2010 at his home place. He was born August 5, 1936 in Davis County, Iowa to Herman and Helen Miller Dye. He married Laura Ann Maddalozzo December 17, 1961 in Centerville, Iowa. David worked for Qwest as an installer and repairman. He was a member of the Quarter Horse Association and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was also a member of the Centerville Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas (Carla Septer) Dye of Lockridge, Iowa, Daniel Dye of Bloomfield, Iowa; a daughter, Lisa (Richard) DeYoung of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Allen Francis Dye, Justus Dye; and a sister, Rebecca Dye.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 9 am on Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Heartland Humane Society.
