Max Hubbartt

BLOOMFIELD:  Max Hubbartt, 80, of Queen City, Missouri and former resident of Bloomfield, Iowa died April 1, 2010 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.  He was born November 20, 1929 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Emory F. and Cleo DeVoe White Hubbartt. He married Marie Mathews August 24, 1951 in Lancaster, Missouri.  Max served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a farmer and sheared sheep.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Sheryl Eastwood and Sandy Jennings both of Bloomfield; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Ronald Hubbartt of Lancaster, Missouri; 2 sisters, Edna Belle Lindsey of Waukon, Iowa, Ronna Jean Stull of Marion, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-great-grandson, Skyler Parker.

Graveside Services will be at 1pm on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Wesley Chapel South Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa with Sonny Smyser officiating.  Burial of the cremains with military rites performed by Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield will follow the service.  A memorial has been established to the family and may be mailed to P.O. Box 352 Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
