Myrtle Hudson

BLOOMFIELD:  Myrtle Hudson, 90, of Bloomfield, Iowa died December 2, 2010 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.  She was born May 2, 1920 in Schuyler County, Missouri to William and Edna Jarvis Harris.  She married Henry Lee Hudson Jr. July 9, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi.  He preceded her in death July 19, 1977.  Myrtle was a teacher’s aide for the Davis County Community School District.  She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.

She is survived by a son, James (Denise) Hudson of Gilbert, Arizona; a grandson, Aaron Hudson also of Gilbert, Arizona; a sister, Maxine McGrew of Bloomfield, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Elmo Harris; and two sisters, Mildred Harris and one in infancy.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield with Pastor DeWayne Lawson officiating.  Visitation will begin after 9 am on Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 10:00-11:00 am at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield.  A memorial has been established to Davis County Hospital Long Term Care.
