Robert Edward Lobbins BLOOMFIELD: Robert Edward Lobbins, 85, of Bloomfield, Iowa died February 27, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born April 30, 1924 in Bloomfield, Iowa to William and Elizabeth Junkins Lobbins. Bob was a building contractor and enjoyed wood working. He was a member of the Bloomfield Bowling Hall of Fame and Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield. He was a lifetime resident of Bloomfield. He is survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Helen Smith, Mildred Lobbins, Virginia Wilder, Francis Dennis; and 4 brothers, Elmer, Lawrence, William, and Harold “Goog” Lobbins. Graveside services will be at 10am on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Bloomfield South Cemetery with Rev. Richard Friend officiating. Reed Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion will perform graveside military rites. |
