FREDRICK LUNDSTRUM

BLOOMFIELD.  FREDRICK LUNDSTRUM, 86 of Bloomfield died March 27, 2010 at Good Samaritan Society in Keosauqua, Iowa.  He was born January 4, 1924 in Macomb, Illinois to Bruce and Alma Ann Fritz Lundstrum.  He married Ida May Hacker January 4, 1943 in Davis County, Iowa.  A resident of Bloomfield most of his life, he was a plumber and electrician and served as Davis County Treasurer for 12 years.  Fred graduated from Pulaski High School in 1942.  He was a member of the Eldon Christian Church and the Davis County Historical Society.  He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for many years and received the Silver Beaver Award.  He was also a 4-H leader.  Fred had a great love for the IAMO Christian Youth Camp in Davis County and worked there for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons Russell (Jolene) Lundstrum of Bloomfield and Richard (Jamie) Lundstrum of Lincoln, Arkansas; 3 daughters Alma Fay (Wayne) Morrison of Centerville, Iowa, Margaret (Dwayne) Smith of Bloomfield and Karen (Jerry) Copeland of Johnstown, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and a sister Doris Robinson of Tucson, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Bradley Vest; 2 brothers Robert and Joseph Lundstrum; an infant brother; a sister Ruth Stevenson and 2 infant sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastors Joshua Gordon and Marvin Martin officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Burial of the cremains will be in the Pulaski Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will begin at 9 am Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 pm to greet friends.  A memorial has been established to the Eldon Christian Church.
