Donna Petefish

BLOOMFIELD:  Donna Lou Petefish, 78, of Bloomfield, Iowa died October 5, 2010 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.  She was born July 14, 1932 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Paul R. and Hazel M. Hamilton Fort.  She married Jasper D. Petefish November 11, 1955 in Bloomfield.  He preceded her in death August 25, 1999.  Donna was a secretary for the Davis County Engineers.  She was a 50-year-member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Rainbow and Friends Preschool.  She was also a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Women, Elizabeth Circle.

She is survived by a son, Mike Petefish of Bloomfield, Iowa; a granddaughter, Morgan Petefish of Bloomfield; a brother, Raymond (Pat) Fort of Bloomfield; and a nephew, Jeff (Tracy) Fort of Pella, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at 10am on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.  Visitation will begin after 10 am on Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established to the Rainbow and Friends Preschool.
